A day in Fougères !

Written by 5e 6 students

On Thursday, April 6th, we went to Fougères with the 5e 7, Ms. Bohuon, Ms. Lazzari, Ms. Churin, Ms. Talvard and Charlie.

In the morning, we visited the castle. We had quests and questions ! It was okay ! We went up the towers. It was dangerous. We visited the banquet room, we saw fake food made of resin. People ate on bread , they did not eat on plates. The carrots were purple and yellow and white. We learned water was mixed with wine.

We visited the arms room. We touched a sword, a long bow and a crossbow.

At lunch, we ate our picnic in a room, in front of a river.

In the afternoon, we visited the city. We went inside the church to do activites about the history, we looked at stained glass windows, statues, and gargoyles.

We saw an old washing place. People used ashes and not soap !

Finally, we played an old ball game named « la soule ».
